KEITH S. JANS
PRESIDENT
Keith has been involved in the real estate industry for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in housing. Keith’s past experience includes working in the public sector, the senior housing industry as a municipal finance advisor, and as a development consultant. At Real Estate Equities Development, Keith is responsible for acquiring and developing projects; conducting feasibility due diligence, structuring project financings, arranging partnership and institutional investments; structuring fee arrangements and ownership participations; managing the development process; and asset management.
CRAIG BRINKMAN
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Craig has been involved in the real estate industry for over 20 years. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of St Thomas.  Prior to joining Real Estate Equities, Craig practiced public accounting in the Twin Cities where several of his clients were real estate companies, including Real Estate Equities.  At Real Estate Equities Development, Craig is responsible for all accounting, treasury and MIS functions; corporate and investor communications; financing and tax compliance issues; and property and asset management.
ANDREW SCHAEFER
VICE PRESIDENT
Andrew has been involved in the real estate and construction industry for more than 20 years. He is a 1998 Graduate of the University of North Dakota with a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. Prior to his employment with Real Estate Equities Development, he worked six years with Community Contractors, a general contracting firm, and several years for US Home Corporation (now Lennar). At Real Estate Equities Development, Andrew is responsible for project administration, management of the construction process, overall project marketing, market feasibility and financial analysis.
SHANE WRIGHT
VICE PRESIDENT
Shane has worked in the real estate development industry for over 15 years. He is a 1999 Graduate of Texas Tech University with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Finance. Prior to his employment with Real Estate Equities Development, he worked for Jeffrey E. Smith Development in Columbia, MO developing affordable multi-family projects throughout Missouri that included both new construction and historic rehabilitation. Shane leads the land acquisition and sales and marketing teams at REE Development with a core focus on the management and growth of these divisions. Additionally, Shane works with the executive team on strategic planning, financial analysis and execution of the development processes.
Kathy Kippley
Director of Human Resources
Kathy has over sixteen years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management and has worked in a variety of industries. She holds undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Psychology and received her MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of St. Thomas in 2004. In her prior role, Kathy was the Director of Human Resources for a large telecommunications company for seven years. At Real Estate Equities Development, Kathy is responsible for managing all of the organization’s human resource functions.
STEVE VON SCHMIDT
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND CREATIVE
Steve brings over 20 years of experience in strategic marketing and creative tactical implementation. Prior to joining Real Estate Equities Development, he led some of the most successful direct marketing companies in the country serving the senior lifestyle and hobby markets. His work has been showcased in a variety of marketing channels including magazines and websites such as Smithsonian, National Geographic, VFW and American Legion. Steve directs and manages all marketing and advertising campaigns including online initiatives and provides marketing and creative services support to REE Development sales management.
STEVE JAHNKE
DIRECTOR OF SALES
Steve has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, national accounts, vendor management and customer service. Prior to joining Real Estate Equities Development in 2011, Steve was involved in the residential real estate market since 1996 where he specialized in sales of single family homes, new construction and land. He is responsible for the sales activities with the Village Cooperative senior housing division of REE Development. Additional oversight includes leadership and training of the Village Cooperative sales managers.
DENNY O’NEIL
DIRECTOR OF SALES
Denny has 32 years of experience in sales management, operations and customer service. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BS degree in Business. Prior to joining REE Development, Denny held senior management positions with Southview Design, a design and construction contractor and Weisman Enterprises responsible for sales management, operations and client relationship management. Denny is responsible for leading sales growth as well as overseeing sales managers and local offices for the Village Cooperative.
JIM MARTIN
DIRECTOR OF SALES
Jim brings over 30 years of experience in sales, sales management, marketing and operations. He is a graduate of Saint Johns University with a B.S. degree in social science and education. Jim’s past experience includes real estate and financial services. Prior to joining Real Estate Equities Development, he held senior sales management positions at a leading direct marketer. Jim is responsible for the sales activities and growth within the Village Cooperative senior housing division of REE Development where he also provides sales management, mentorship and training of the Village Cooperative sales managers.
JOE MOOSBRUGGER
PROJECT MANAGER
Joe joined the Real Estate Equities Development team in 2017. He is a 2000 Graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Joe brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, both from a design standpoint and contracting services. At REE Development, Joe is responsible for construction oversight, design review, project administration and navigation of municipal requirements.
STEVE MILLER
PROJECT MANAGER
Steve has over 22 years of experience in development and construction. His construction projects have taken place across the country, and his vast construction experience includes building hotels, large shopping centers, multi-family complexes, office buildings, restaurants, a University renovation and memory care communities. Prior to diving into the development and construction world, Steve was a proud member of the United States Air Force for over ten years in numerous locations across the globe. At REE Development, Steve is responsible for construction management, jurisdictional approvals, public hearings, owner coordination and facilitation.
NEAL SINGER
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Neal has worked in the real estate development industry for over 20 years. Neal has held various positions in public and private homebuilding companies throughout his career, including owning and operating his own custom homebuilding company engaged in suburban infill development. He has worked in various markets nationally with the nation’s largest homebuilder and developer as well as a vertically integrated, privately owned land development and homebuilding company. Neal is a recognized and accomplished land planner and financier of high-profile developments on behalf of investors, developers and builders. With Real Estate Equities Development, he is responsible for site selections, land acquisition and entitlements, market feasibility and new market expansion.
DEB JENSEN
ACCOUNTANT
Deb has worked as an Accountant for over 25 years. She is a 1989 graduate of University of Wisconsin - River Falls, majoring in Accounting. Prior to joining Real Estate Equities Development, she worked for an equipment manufacturing company for 20 years. Deb’s responsibilities at REE Development include maintaining and preparing accounting records for corporate and cooperative entities as well as other day-to-day accounting functions. Deb also serves as office manager.
MICHELLE Stern
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Michelle has worked in the real estate industry for over 8 years. She is a 2008 graduate from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Urban Studies and a double-minor in Architecture and Geography. At Real Estate Equities Development, she is responsible for coordinating projects through the various phases of the development process as well as providing support to the development team.
JAKE WRENN
DATA ANALYST
Jake is a data analyst, computer programmer and creative writer. He holds a BS in Business Management from Purdue University, with a concentration in strategy, and he also holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Roosevelt University. Jake’s prior experience includes a senior analyst position at a distribution firm, specializing in demand forecasting, acquisition due diligence and metrics reporting. At Real Estate Equities Development, Jake is responsible for market analysis, feasibility studies and strategic research.
TIM ANDERS
REGIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER
Tim has 12 years of experience in the real estate industry, and over 10 years working with volunteer boards. He is a 1995 graduate of Augsburg College with a degree in Business Finance and a minor in Economics. Prior to joining Real Estate Equities Development, he worked with Northern Star Council, BSA gaining experience working with volunteers and has been a member of several volunteer boards. Tim’s responsibilities at REE Development are working with staff and the Board of Directors at the Village Cooperatives located across the Midwest.
Wendy Huggins
REGIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER
Wendy brings over 15 years of property management experience. She has worked with multi-family, student housing and HOA management. Wendy’s responsibilities at Real Estate Equities Development include working with and providing oversite to the Village Cooperatives in the Kansas City area. Her main focus will be managing onsite staff and working with each Village Cooperative’s Board of Directors.
